26-29 August 2015: Assistant Professor Susannah Verney (University of Athens) was Co-convenor of the Section on 'Challenges to Democracy in Southern Europe' at the ECPR General Conference in Montreal. The Section had 6 panels on democracy and governance; changing party landscapes and the populist backlash; the economic aspects of democratic challenges; making or breaking Greek democracy; changes in political participation; and toleration, minorities and memory in Southern Europe.
