Professor Dimitris A. Sotiropoulos travelled  to Beijing, China, as an honorary guest of the Beijing Foreign Studies University,  to participate in a conference panel dedicated to Southeast Europe and also to teach postgraduate students. He will give four lectures in total. The titles of his lectures are listed below.

• The socioeconomic Modernization of the Post-Yugoslav Successor States
• The Political Modernization of the Post-Yugoslav Successor States
• Ten years after the peak of the Greek crisis: lessons learned.
• Keynote speech in the conference of the Beijing Foreign Studies University on contemporary Southeastern Europe. 

The initiative was organised by the Beijing Foreign Studies University in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Chinese university and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Master's Programme in Southeast European Studies: Politics, History, Economics
