EUROSUD

The International Master in South European Studies (EUROSUD) offers you the unique opportunity to engage in the multi-disciplinary study of the South European region studying in two or three universities over two years and gain a Multiple or a Double master’s degree, depending on the study track.
EUROSUD offers a truly international two-year learning experience where students study, train, and research at renowned universities within Europe’s Civic University Alliance (CIVIS), located in South European countries (i.e., Spain (UAM), Italy (SUR), France (AMU) and Greece (NKUA), as well as in Brussels, Belgium (ULB), at the heart of the European Union. EUROSUD focuses on a region with a distinct identity and a pivotal role in addressing European and global affairs. The region has witnessed significant global challenges, including the rise of liberal democratic norms, the growth of populist and anti-establishment movements, and the economic and social dynamics of regional integration. Other critical issues include post-colonial ties, heavy migration flows, climate change, socio-demographic shifts, corruption, governance quality, and the evolving security landscape in the Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea. EUROSUD explores these developments through diverse theoretical and methodological approaches from across the humanities and social sciences and trains graduates to have unparalleled regional expertise, a solid foundation in international affairs, and advanced research and professional skills. These skills will prepare them for international careers or doctoral studies.
