ASSISTANT PROFESSOR NASSIA YAKOVAKI

Course: Interconnected histories: The Balkans and the Black Sea from the 18th to the 20th centuries 

Nassia Yakovaki (a.k.a.  Nasia Giakovaki) is a graduate of both Athens and Ioannina Universities, and pursued postgraduate studies at the Universities of Essex and Thessaloniki (2001, Ph.D). Her book Europe via Greece. A Turning-point in European Self-consiousness, 17th-18th centuries has been published in Greek, and in Chinese translation. She has published studies and articles in edited volumes and academic journals in Greek, English and French. Her current research focuses on the Age of Revolution in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
