PROFESSOR PANAYOTIS TSAKONAS

Course: International Relations of Southeast Europe

Panayotis Tsakonas is Professor of International Relations, Security Studies and Foreign Policy Analysis at the University of Athens. He taught for fifteen years at the University of the Aegean, Rhodes-Greece and at various Universities and institutions in Greece, Turkey, United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and Canada. He has been post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University, NATO Research Fellow, Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Yale University and Academic Visitor at St Antony's College, Oxford University. He worked as Special Advisor at the Ministries of National Defense and Foreign Affairs and he served as a member of the Academic/Scientific boards of various institutions in Greece and abroad and as President of the BoD of the Center for Security Studies/KE.ME.A. His monographs, books, articles in professional journals and contributions in edited volumes have been published in Greek, English, German, French and Italian.
