A Message from the Coordinator of Eurosud at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
Dear future SEE Studies Programme student
A major benefit of the ‘Master’s Programme in Southeast European Studies: Politics, History, Economics’ is its cosmopolitan environment. Besides the Programme’s own students from Southeastern Europe and beyond, you will also share your classroom with students from the ‘International Master in South European Studies (Eurosud)’.
Eurosud is a two-year Master’s Degree, co-financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus Mundus programme. It attracts top students from around the world, who spend three mobility periods at different universities (Glasgow + a choice of 2 from Athens, Madrid, Rome and Aix/Marseilles). So each semester you will be joined by new Eurosud classmates from a range of different backgrounds, offering you the opportunity to learn with and from each other.
In the first two years of Eurosud in Athens (2019-21), we welcomed 32 students from 25 countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, Croatia, Egypt, France, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, US and Uzbekistan).
We look forward to welcoming you in Athens and wish you an exciting academic journey.
Best wishes
Susannah Verney
